Setting up the fortepiano…

Even large pianos can be moved and setup relatively simply when you know how.

The left front leg is never screwed in until the instrument is upright on all its other legs. This avoids the possibility of it breaking off when the instrument is raised from trolley height to playing position. Study the movie below and its accompanying technical description.
